LAHORE: A condolence meeting of the Secretaries Committee chaired by Punjab Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal has paid tribute to those killed in the Attock terror attack.         

Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada was among the dead in Sunday’s suicide attack leaving a dozen other people dying with him. The minister was seen as the man in charge of the anti-terror campaign in the country’s biggest province.

The members grieved his death Shuja Khanzada and condemned the act, saying the minister, a retired army colonel, had set a precedent of valour and bravery by sacrificing his life in the war on terror.

“He was a great, truthful and dauntless person. His valuable services in the war on terrorism will always be remembered,” the members said. They also make it clear that they were determined to uproot terrorism.

The meeting also prayed for the terror victims.

Additional Chief Secretary Syed Mubashir Raza then presented a resolution in recognition of the minister’s services.

Those also taking part in the meeting were secretaries of the Home, Finance, Information and Culture, Mines and Minerals Departments.
