MULTAN: Local industrialists, office bearers of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), APBUMA, PCGA, All Pakistan Oil Mills Association said that completion of mega projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would open new vistas of rapid progress and prosperity in South Punjab similar to other parts of the country.

Under CPEC, government would be able to complete mega projects in South Punjab like Multan-Sukkur Motorway, Solar Park, IT Parks, Multan-Faisalabad Motorway, Power Transmission Line, and up-gradation of main railway lines, they said while Multan Metro Bus project of Rs28.88 billion has been recently inaugurated. President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi, Chairman of All Pakistan Bed sheet & Upholstery Manufacturers Association(APBUMA)Khawaja Muhammad Younas, Dr. Jeso Mal Chairman of Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association(PCGA), Khawaja Muhammad Fazil Chairman of All Pakistan Oil Mills Association, Former Presidents of MCCI Fareed Mughis Sheikh, Mian Iqbal Hussain, Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf, Khawaja M.Usman, M.Anis Sheikh, Mian Tanvir A’ Sheikh Ex-President of FPCCI termed the CPEC, a game changer in the region and said that the mega development projects would not only strengthen the infrastructure of the country but also help in overcoming the issue of unemployment by creating scores of job opportunities for youth which ultimately would improve the socio-economic condition of the people.
