ISLAMABAD: Spokespersons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry and Naeem-ul-Haq claimed on Monday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would break into pieces

after Panama Papers case verdict.

Addressing a press conference they said that PTI has submitted the money trail of its chairman Imran Khan and party funds' details with the Supreme Court

Chaudhry said that the PML-N had sought money trail of 117,000 pounds, while the PTI has submitted all the details of around 350,000 pounds with the Supreme Court.

He said that Akbar S Babar, a former member of the PTI had submitted before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that there is no record of funding for three years. The PTI has decided to present all the record of party funds from 2010 to 2017 in the court for scrutiny.

He said that the three volumes presented in the court contain detailed information of some 30,000 donors who gave money to the PTI. He said that the party detractors should not doubt patriotism of the Pakistanis working abroad.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the PTI got around $3 million and they were transferred to Pakistan through official banking channels. In the United States of America, nobody can raise funds directly; therefore, services of a company were hired for the purpose, he said, adding that office-bearers of this company are all of Pakistani-origin.

"Khan is the only Pakistani to be trusted in the whole world," he said, adding that it is responsibility of the party to address the questions raised by the detractors for the satisfaction of the donors and Pakistanis.

He said that the PTI would demand that party funding sources of other political parties should also be scrutinised, especially of the party of Maulana Fazlur Rehman that has been allegedly getting funds from Libya.

Speaking on the occasion, Naeem-ul-Haq said that he has been with Khan for the last 21 years and he could testify for honesty and integrity of Khan in the financial matters.

He said that all funds of the party are audited and, subsequently, all details are submitted with the ECP. He said that people give billions of rupees each year to Khan for the cancer hospital because they trust him.

Haq said that all affairs and sources of funding of the PTI are open to scrutiny for everybody because they have nothing to hide from the public.
